DXC Technology Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to collaborate with the development team to design, code, and test critical software components for our enterprise-grade solutions in Italy.

You will work with senior engineers to meet project requirements and deadlines, participate in design reviews, and contribute to troubleshooting complex issues. You will develop and document software requirements, maintain production systems, and stay current with emerging technologies while mentoring

Competenze

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with coding and debugging complex software components.
• Familiar with software development practices and methodologies.

Job Description:Essential Job Functions:• Collaborate with the software development team to design, code, and test software solutions, with a focus on developing and maintaining critical components.• Work with senior team members to meet project requirements and deadlines, actively participating in design and code reviews.• Contribute to troubleshooting and problem-solving in software development, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.• Participate in the development and documentation of software requirements and specifications.• Debug and resolve complex production issues, working closely with senior engineers and support teams.• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices, researching and proposing innovative solutions.• Assist in mentoring and guiding junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise.• Take ownership of challenging technical tasks and collaborate on architectural decisions.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience• Typically, 4+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 1+ years in a similar role years of relevant software engineering experience• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies• Proficiency in coding and debugging complex software components• Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills• Effective communication and teamwork abilities• Eagerness to learn and adapt to challenging technical tasksOther Qualifications:• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus• Relevant certifications or training a plus#LI-DNIAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
