Job summary

Telespazio, in the Leonardo Space Division, seeks a Software Engineer for Rome with 3–5 years of hands-on software development experience. You will design, develop and test modern software solutions for Ground Segment systems, with microservices, cloud-native architectures, and multi-device technologies.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team following Agile/SCRUM, contributing to DevSecOps pipelines and technical documentation, in a hybrid setup with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in software development and microservices-based applications.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles.
• Experience with microservices application design and cloud-native architectures.
• Proficiency in Java and Python; frontend: Angular/TypeScript/JavaScript; backend: Spring Boot, API Gateway, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and CaaS concepts; container orchestration with Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Knowledge of Linux, Linux scripting and security coding standards (OWASP/CWE/SANS).
• Experience with AI agents ecosystems (LangChain, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI) and integrating AI components in microservices; guardrails and async workflows.
• Strong English communication and collaborative, agile/SCRUM teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and unit test software solutions and end-to-end applications in public and hybrid cloud environments.
• Design and adopt automated DevSecOps pipelines.
• Prepare and maintain technical project documentation (Requirements, Operations concepts, Engineering Plans, Manuals).
• Support project reviews and technical meetings as required.
