Job summary

cosine is seeking a Systems Engineer to bridge our Earth observation payloads with satellite platforms. You will translate mission requirements into clear engineering solutions, ensuring seamless integration from concept through in-orbit operation.

You will work with spacecraft manufacturers, subsystem engineers, and project teams to coordinate system-level activities, contributing to successful missions and end-to-end delivery of space instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a technical discipline related to aerospace or space engineering.
• Proven systems engineering experience on complex high-technology products, ideally space or remote sensing.
• Strong ability to manage multidisciplinary interfaces and document technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical interface between cosine and satellite manufacturers for payload integration activities.
• Define and maintain system requirements, interface control documents, and verification plans for remote sensing payloads.
• Ensure payload specs (mass, dimensions, power, thermal, data interfaces) align with spacecraft requirements.
• Translate spacecraft requirements into actionable internal team requirements (mechanical, thermal, electrical, software, electronics).
• Coordinate system-level integration, verification, and validation across the project lifecycle.
