Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Solution Consultant for Cloud Solutions to lead the development of cloud-based solution proposals. You will orchestrate multi-year, custom solutions with multi-geo teams of experts to meet client requirements.

You will apply experience in migration, modernization, containerization, APIs, microservices, and Kubernetes to craft effective solutions across IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, Red Hat OpenShift, or Google. A college diploma is preferred.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Solution Consultant for Cloud Solutions, you will lead the development of cloud-based solution proposals and orchestrate the creation of complex, multi-year, custom solutions. You will work closely with multi-geo, multi-discipline teams of subject-matter experts to define technical and commercial solutions that meet client business requirements.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop Solution Proposals: Lead the development of cloud-based solution proposals, utilizing a combination of multi-cloud offerings, services, labor, assets, hardware, and software to meet client business requirements.
• Collaborate with Experts: Work with multi-geo, multi-discipline teams of subject-matter experts to define technical and commercial solutions for business requirements provided by clients in RFI/RFP.
• Orchestrate Solution Development: Oversee the development of complex, multi-year, custom solutions and associated price cases, ensuring alignment with client business requirements.
• Define Client Value Proposition: Lead the definition of client value proposition during the solutioning phase, applying a keen understanding of multi-cloud campaigns.
• Apply Technical Expertise: Apply experience in areas such as migration, continuous modernization, co-existence architecture, refactor, containerization, APIs, Microservices, Containers, and Kubernetes to develop effective solutions.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Cloud Solution Development: Exposure to developing cloud-based solution proposals, utilizing multi-cloud offerings, services, labor, assets, hardware, and software to meet client business requirements.
• Multi-Discipline Collaboration: Experience working with multi-geo, multi-discipline teams of subject-matter experts to define technical and commercial solutions for business requirements.
• Technical Solutioning: Exposure to areas such as migration, continuous modernization, co-existence architecture, refactor, containerization, APIs, Microservices, Containers, and Kubernetes.
• Cloud Platform Experience: Experience in project solutioning on at least one cloud platform, including IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, RedHat OpenShift, or Google.
• Application Component Understanding: Understanding of application components such as System of Engagement (SOE), System of Insight (SOI), System of Integration (SOI), and System of Records (SOR).

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

• Cloud Platform Familiarity: Exposure to multiple cloud platforms, including IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, RedHat OpenShift, or Google, with the ability to apply this knowledge to develop effective cloud-based solutions.
• Containerization Expertise: Experience with containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes, and the ability to apply this expertise to develop scalable and efficient solutions.
• API Development Knowledge: Exposure to API development and integration, with the ability to design and implement APIs that meet client business requirements.
