Job summary

BIP Red, the Creative Technology Studio of BIP, is hiring a Junior Software Tester in Milan. You will join a multidisciplinary team to contribute to quality verification and validation for web and mobile apps, with training and mentorship to develop skills and leverage AI tools.

• Currently completing or recently graduated with a STEM degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related).
• Curious, detail-oriented and eager to learn.
• Interest in Software Quality and Technological Innovation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative mindset and teamwork.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good command of English.

• Support the design and maintenance of test cases.
• Perform functional, integration and regression testing on web and mobile applications using manual and/or automated testing.
• Identify, document and monitor defects with dedicated tools.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, developers and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Leverage Generative AI tools to analyze docs, generate/optimize tests, create reports and identify gaps in test coverage.

We are looking for a passionate Junior Software Tester to join our Team in Milan.

\

The Role

\

You will join a dynamic and multidisciplinary team and be involved in quality verification and validation activities for web and mobile applications, supporting experienced professionals throughout the different stages of the testing lifecycle. Through continuous training and on-the-job support, you will develop methodological, organizational and technical skills, take part in real-world projects and contribute to improving the quality of software products.

What You Will Do

\

• Analyze functional requirements, specifications and project documentation.
• Support the design and maintenance of test cases.
• Perform functional, integration and regression testing on web and mobile applications, using manual and/or automated testing approaches.
• Identify, document and monitor software defects and anomalies using dedicated tools.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, developers and project stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Quality Assurance processes.
• Use Generative Artificial Intelligence tools to support activities such as:
  • analyzing project documentation;
  • generating and optimizing test cases;
  • creating reports and documentation;
  • identifying gaps in test coverage;
  • supporting the analysis of defects and test results

Required Skills

\

• Currently completing or recently graduated with a degree in a STEM discipline, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• Curious, detail-oriented and eager to learn.
• Interest in Software Quality and Technological Innovation.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative mindset and an aptitude for teamwork.
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Good command of English.

Nice to Have

\

• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Basic knowledge of programming languages or databases.
• Knowledge of tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail or equivalent solutions.
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and automation technologies.

The salary for this position ranges from €800 to €1000 gross per annum, depending on experience, skills, and the responsibilities associated with the role.
