Ascom Holding AG, based in Florence, is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop reliable software solutions for healthcare environments. This role allows you to impact hospitals and patient care significantly.

You will work closely with Italian customers, develop new software features, and provide remote support for international projects. A flexible hybrid working model is available, fostering a stable, long-term environment.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you design, develop, and maintain reliable software solutions used in complex healthcare environments, where quality, performance, and stability matter.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop new features and modules for healthcare software solutions
• Maintain and improve existing applications with a strong focus on quality and performance
• Design, code, debug, test, and deliver clean, maintainable software
• Build reusable components to improve long‑term consistency and scalability
• Collaborate on technical documentation and knowledge sharing
• Work closely with Italian customers and stakeholders
• Provide remote support to international projects and Ascom sites when required
• Develop integrations with hospital and clinical IT systems

What We’re Looking For

• Solid experience with Microsoft C# and ASP.NET Core
• Strong hands‑on experience building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs
• Experience working with distributed systems and system integrations
• Understanding of software quality, performance, and maintainability principles
• Ability to work across the full development lifecycle (design → delivery → support)
• Comfortable collaborating with customers and cross‑functional teams
• Experience in healthcare, medical, or highly regulated environments is a plus
