Ascom, based in Florence, develops software that supports healthcare professionals in life-critical environments. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining reliable software for hospitals.

You will work primarily on Italy projects with remote support for international customers as needed. The Software Engineer will contribute to high-quality, scalable solutions, collaborating with Italian customers and cross-functional teams to ensure performance, maintainability, and regulatory

Competenze

• Solid experience with Microsoft C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Strong hands-on experience building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs.
• Experience working with distributed systems and system integrations.
• Understanding of software quality, performance, and maintainability principles.
• Ability to work across the full development lifecycle (design → delivery → support).
• Comfortable collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in healthcare, medical, or highly regulated environments is a plus.

Based in Florence, you will primarily work on projects within Italy, while also providing remote support to international customers when required.

The Role

As a Software Engineer, you design, develop, and maintain reliable software solutions used in complex healthcare environments, where quality, performance, and stability matter.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop new features and modules for healthcare software solutions
• Maintain and improve existing applications with a strong focus on quality and performance
• Design, code, debug, test, and deliver clean, maintainable software
• Build reusable components to improve long‑term consistency and scalability
• Collaborate on technical documentation and knowledge sharing
• Work closely with Italian customers and stakeholders
• Provide remote support to international projects and Ascom sites when required
• Develop integrations with hospital and clinical IT systems
