DSM-Firmenich is hiring a Software Development Specialist to design, develop, and deploy software solutions across the SolCo unit in Brazil. You will analyze requirements, help define architecture, implement features, and ensure code quality with automated tests.

The role emphasizes modern UI development, database design, and integration with hardware interfaces, leveraging AI-assisted development tools and cloud-based services. Strong English and collaborative mindset are required.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Solid experience with programming languages used in software development.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience developing mobile apps with React Native.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational DB modeling.
• Experience with Git/GitHub.

Position: Software Development Specialist

Location: Belo Horizonte, Brazil

As a Software Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying software solutions by analyzing system requirements and functionalities, assisting in architecture definition, selecting development tools, specifying software programs, and coding applications.

This position is part of the Solutions (SolCo) business within the Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) division. SolCo is one of the two independent entities being created from ANH as part of its divestment to CVC Capital.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and user requirements, including reviewing and interpreting use cases;
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases;
• Design and develop user interfaces (UI);
• Develop applications according to business and technical specifications;
• Develop and maintain automated tests;
• Use source code version control systems throughout the software development lifecycle;
• Define and recommend technologies, architectures, and best practices for software development;
• Identify and mitigate project and development risks and issues;
• Ensure continuous improvement and maintenance of software development processes;
• Promote and disseminate software development best practices within the team;
• Support the technical growth and professional development of team members;
• Administer and maintain development environments;
• Design and implement integrations with other systems;
• Design and develop communication interfaces for hardware devices;
• Plan, develop, and implement system enhancements and improvements;
• Plan and execute database evolution and maintenance activities;
• Adapt systems to keep pace with updates to libraries, frameworks, and operating systems;
• Act as a technical reference for the team and the company on software development topics, supporting technical decision-making and driving excellence in delivered solutions.

You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field;
• Advanced English proficiency;
• Solid experience with programming languages used in software development;
• Knowledge and practical application of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, among others);
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript;
• Experience developing mobile applications using React Native;
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and relational database modeling;
• Experience with version control systems using Git/GitHub;
• Experience with TDD (Test-Driven Development) and automated testing practices;
• Knowledge of Cloud Computing and cloud architectures;
• Experience with cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS);
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD);
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring Agile teams;
• Strong understanding of software architecture, including microservices, APIs, and cloud-based solutions;
• Experience with AI-Assisted Software Development, leveraging artificial intelligence tools for code generation, test creation, documentation, refactoring, and productivity improvement throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
