Alpitronic in Bolzano, Italy, is seeking a software engineer with strong C++ and embedded Linux experience to design and integrate payment solutions for e-mobility projects.

You will adapt existing solutions to customer needs, write tests, optimize performance, and participate in code reviews. Fluency in English with Italian or German as a plus is beneficial.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, OOP, multithreading, memory management, debugging and performance optimization.
• C++ development for embedded Linux systems with SQL databases (MySQL/SQLite).
• Solid knowledge of payment solutions.
• Familiar with RESTful APIs, TCP/IP networks and communication protocols.
• Git or similar VCS; CI/CD knowledge.
• Independent, analytical thinker with good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent in English plus Italian and/or German is a plus.

Your Responsibilities

• Integration of new payment solutions
• Adapting existing payment solutions to customer requirements
• Troubleshooting issues related to payment solutions
• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code that is easily testable, maintainable and reusable
• Write tests to maintain code quality and prevent regressions
• Optimise applications for maximum performance and scalability
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve applications and user experience
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in software development

Your Qualifications & Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• Previous working experience in software development and solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming (OOP), multithreading, memory management, debugging, and performance optimization
• Experienced in C++, development for embedded Linux systems, SQL-DBs, e.g. MySQL/SQLite
• Solid knowledge of payment solutions
• Good knowledge of RESTful APIs, TCP/IP networks and communication protocols
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
• Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines is a plus
• Independent and solution-oriented working attitude as well as analytical thinking
• Enthusiasm, good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Fluent in English, Italian and/or German are a plus

• Total compensation: € 64.000-€ 96.000 including 30% variable bonus based on goal achievement

The compensation range provided is based on the current scope and location of the role. Should the position's responsibilities, seniority level, or location differ during the recruitment process, the applicable compensation range may be adjusted accordingly, in line with local market conditions and internal compensation frameworks.
