Music & Lights Srl is hiring for an IT specialist in Minturno to develop internal applications, mainly backend in PHP, and to design interfaces with HTML/CSS/JS. You will integrate with the ERP and other systems, driving process digitisation and AI-enabled features while supporting users and hardware issues.

The role requires 1–3 years in software development, Linux experience, Docker, and REST API skills, plus English for technical docs and international collaboration.

About The Role

You will be based at our HQ in Minturno (LT), within the IT department, developing the internal applications that support the company's daily work: management tools, process-specific applications and systems supporting the various departments. You will work mainly on the backend, taking care of the application interfaces as well, and integrate the applications with the company management system and the other systems in use. A significant part of the role is the digitalisation of business processes and the integration of AI features to improve routine activities. The role also includes technical support to colleagues in diagnosing and resolving hardware and network issues. Occasional travel in Italy and abroad is expected (around 10%).

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the internal applications, with backend development in PHP and design of the SQL databases.
• Build the application interfaces with HTML, CSS and JavaScript, taking care of usability and clarity for the people who use them every day.
• Integrate the applications with the company management system, the internal web portal and the other systems in use, designing APIs and data flows.
• Analyse business processes together with the departments involved and turn them into process-specific software, with the goal of reducing manual work and redundant steps.
• Integrate AI features into the applications: assistants on internal data and documentation, automatic extraction and classification of information.
• Use AI tools for development (Claude Code, Codex) to speed up writing, reviewing and testing code.
• Take care of quality and maintainability: version control, testing and technical documentation of the applications you develop.
• Support internal users on the applications released and in diagnosing and resolving hardware and network issues, gathering their feedback and turning it into further improvements.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in software development, mainly backend.
• Programming in PHP and JavaScript.
• Web development: HTML and CSS.
• Knowledge of SQL and design of relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MariaDB).
• Networking knowledge.
• Development and consumption of REST APIs for integration between different systems.
• Version control with Git.
• Experience integrating with ERP or company management systems.
• Familiarity with Linux environments, Docker and release automation.
• Hardware fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.
• Professional use of AI tools for development (e.g. Claude Code, Codex).
• English at B1 level, for technical documentation and for liaising with suppliers and international teams.
• Availability for occasional travel in Italy and abroad (around 10%).

Preferred Skills

• Use of a modern front-end framework (React, Vue or equivalent) for the application interfaces.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design and prototyping (e.g. Figma).
• Technical background in IT (preferred, not essential).

Contract and compensation

• Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, followed by a stable, continuing employment relationship
• Classification: CCNL Metalmeccanica Industria, livello C2.
• Compensation: RAL from €26,850 to €29,500 gross per year over 13 mensilità, with professional growth prospects based on commitment and skills.
