DESCRIPTION

Our operations network, known for our speed, accuracy, and exceptional service, delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for an experienced professional who wants to join our team as Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) Senior (Sr) Manager. In this key role, you will be accountable for the delivery of security as a service to a region, composed of multiple clusters of operational sites across the end-to-end supply chain to protect our people and prevent loss.

Key job responsibilities

1. Be accountable to deliver strategic goals and objectives of your region
2. Manage a team of Cluster Loss Prevention Managers who provide security as a service to operational sites within a geographical area of responsibility that are composed of multiple clusters
3. Ensure all operational sites within your region are compliant with security standards, are regularly audited, and all sites have a robust physical security posture
4. Manage relevant risks within your region (prevention, intervention, investigation)
5. Engage senior management within your region to ensure a positive working relationship, understand opportunities to support, and provide security risk guidance

A day in the life

As an SLP Sr Regional Manager, you are responsible for a team of Cluster Loss Prevention Managers who provide security as a service to operational sites from across the Amazon supply chain within a geographical area of responsibility that are composed of multiple security clusters. You will be accountable for the performance of Security and Loss Prevention within your region. You will ensure that the region can effectively deploy resources to deliver day-to-day operational services. You will prioritize incoming workload and assess risks to ensure meeting service level agreements with your internal customers and proactively avoid adverse impacts to the business.

You will use your knowledge and expertise to coach and manage your team, removing blockers to help them achieve their goals. Your team manages daily tactical and operational activities within each cluster; however, you will take ownership when problems become highly complex. You will ensure your team identifies, evaluates, and mitigates all security risks within your region and shares findings and best practices with the wider business. You are responsible for ensuring all operational sites within your region are compliant with security standards, regularly audited, and have a robust physical security posture. You will own the strategic goals within your region and manage resource planning and deployment efficiently. Finally, you will engage with senior management to foster positive relationships, understand opportunities for support, and provide security risk guidance.

Sitting within the Global Security Operations organization, Security and Loss Prevention supports Amazon's business targets and strengthens our brand by effectively protecting against threats and managing security and loss prevention risks that could:

• Put our associates and customers at risk
• Disrupt business operations
• Damage assets
• Impact brand reputation

We work with stakeholders to secure the Amazon supply chain end-to-end, prevent risks early, intervene in incidents, and thoroughly investigate to prevent reoccurrence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. A degree or equivalent
2. Relevant advanced security- or risk-related experience (e.g., security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, investigations, supply chain, auditing, compliance, or similar) with the ability to translate security concepts into actions
3. Experience managing multiple teams across regions, including development, hiring, performance management, and managing managers
4. Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
5. Advanced proficiency in written Italian and upper intermediate proficiency in written and verbal English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Relevant advanced degree, industry certification, or equivalent
2. Experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and managing contract security officers
3. Experience in retail, warehouse, distribution, or supply chain services
4. Business writing and stakeholder communication skills
5. Driver's license
