Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Site Based Electrical & Mechanical (Building Services) Supervisor to join the HVDC team in Italy. You will coordinate and inspect Building Services installations across the site, covering LV Power Distribution, Lighting, HVAC, Domestic Water, BMS, Fire detection and Security Systems.

The role is fully site-based at two locations in Italy, reporting to the Civil Construction Manager and integrating with the Site Management team.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• On-site experience in supervision of MEP/Building Services.
• Fluency in English and Italian; French an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Review ITPs/ITRs and technical submissions from sub-contractors.

The opportunity

We are currently seeking a Site Based Electrical & Mechanical (Building Services) Supervisor to join our HVDC team at Hitachi Energy. The Site Based Building Services Supervisor will be coordinating and inspecting the Building Services (BS) installation works throughout its scope of delivery. The Building Services systems will include: LV Power Distribution, Lighting, HVAC, Domestic Water, BMS, Fire detection and Security Systems.

The Building Services Supervisor will report to the Civil Construction Manager and integrate to the Site Management team.

The role will be fully site based at our two locations in Italy.

How you will make an impact

• Support the engineering activities related to Building Services (BS), by contributing with the construction perspective, lessons learnt and best practices, whilst ensuring its constructability
• Review the BS ITPs and ITRs, as well as all technical submissions from sub contractors to ensure compliance with the respective design and specifications
• Coordinate all on-site BS installation activities in alignment with project delivery schedule/activities to assure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements
• Support the Civil Construction Manager in making detailed working plans with the Sub-Contractors of the BS scope installation activities, including necessary local resources, equipment, suppliers, and milestones
• Ensure that all documentation related to the BS scope is revised and updated as necessary, and that the latest revisions are used for the construction work on site
• Monitor and inspect the BS installation activities, ensuring the required quality for the respective works according to the standards and specifications
• Lead or participate in site meetings related to the BS scope, and whenever required, with Customer, sub-contractors, and Hitachi Energy site personnel
• Prepare and coordinate the BS related red marked drawings with the subcontractors and engineering

Your background

• Degree-qualified (BEng, BSc, MSc, or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services Engineering, or a related field, or significant experience in an MEP (Building Services) supervisory role.
• Relevant on-site experience
• Ready to work in an international and multicultural work environment
• Experience in industrial projects; in the energy sector is a plus
• Great communication skills
• Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken, is essential to effectively interact with a wide range of stakeholders. Proficiency in French would be considered an advantage.

Salary

The minimum salary for this position in the location specified is as follows:

Starting from: 44,800 € gross annual.

In addition to the base salary, this role includes a performance bonus and a results-based bonus, designed to reward both individual contribution and company performance.

The final offer will be based on candidate location, skills and qualifications, experience, and aligned with internal pay structures.
