Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking a Site Manager for its M Renewables team in Italy to oversee the construction of utility-scale solar projects.

The role requires at least 5 years in construction site management, a degree in engineering, and fluency in Italian and English. Candidates should be able to relocate and manage facilities, subcontractors, and logistics to ensure on-time, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years working experience as site manager within construction.
• University Degree in Electrical/Mechanical or Civil Engineering is a plus.
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office and AUTOCAD.
• Leadership and negotiation skills.
• Attention to details.
• Willingness to relocate.
• Fluent knowledge of Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Study project SOW deeply including engineering drawings, BOM, material purchase orders and subcontract requisitions.
• Report project progress to the Project Manager.
• Oversee subcontractors' installation works with site engineers.
• Report daily about the material received onsite.
• Liaise with suppliers to arrange material deliveries with Procurement and Logistics.
• Monitor compliance with technical requirements and applicable norms and standards.
• Manage site facilities technically and administratively; rent offices, provide utilities, organize cleaning with local suppliers.
• Liaise with DL and CSE where necessary.
• Formally assume the role of Preposto (site supervisor per Italian HSE law).
