Sapienza Universita' di Roma invites applications for a research position to investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms of inflammatory pain during synovitis, with emphasis on interactions between inflammatory mediators, synovial cells and nociceptive endings.
The project will evaluate cytokines and pain mediators, and study major signaling pathways such as NF-κB, MAPK and JAK/STAT through integrated cellular and molecular analyses to define links between synovial activation and pain

The present project aims to investigate the main cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the transmission and modulation of inflammatory pain during synovitis, with particular emphasis on the interactions between inflammatory mediators, synovial cells, and nociceptive nerve endings.
The research will focus on evaluating the role of cytokines and pain-inducing mediators in nociceptive sensitization processes, as well as investigating the major pro-inflammatory signaling pathways, including NF-κB, MAPK, and JAK/STAT. Through an integrated experimental approach combining cellular and molecular analysis techniques, the project aims to characterize the relationship between synovial inflammatory activation and the mechanisms underlying pain signal transduction.
