Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is seeking an experienced Shift Engineer to join the Engineering Team in Florence. You will diagnose, service and repair hotel equipment, respond to maintenance requests, and uphold Four Seasons’ standards of professionalism.

This full-time, fixed-term role requires Italian language skills, at least 1 year in a similar position, and readiness to work in shifts including weekends and holidays. English is a plus, and opportunities for growth are offered.

Competenze

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar position.
• Italian language proficiency required; English is a plus.
• Reading, writing and basic computer skills are expected.

Mansioni

• Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update logs.
• Diagnose and repair hotel equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and related systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests in guest rooms and public areas.
• Follow emergency procedures and respond to incidents such as fires or power failures.
• Clean and organize Engineering stations, grease traps, and plumbing.
• Install or relocate equipment as needed for renovations or upgrades.
• Assist with energy conservation programs within the hotel.
• Provide electrical setups for exhibits and equipment maintenance during renovations.
• Train staff on proper operation and maintenance where required.

Questa figura si occupa della manutenzione ordinaria e straordinaria dell'Hotel, rispondendo alle richieste degli ospiti e dei colleghi in maniera cortese e professionale. La risorsa ideale possiede almeno un anno di esperienza nel ruolo, con conoscenze in campo elettrico. E' richiesta la conoscenza della lingua italiana, mentre la conoscenza dell'inglese rappresenta un vantaggio.

Contratto full time e a tempo determinato. Il ruolo prevede lavoro su turni, inclusi weekend e giorni festivi. I candidati devono essere legalmente autorizzati a lavorare in Italia al momento della candidatura.

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is currently looking for an experienced Shift Engineer to join the Team. The Shift Engineer diagnoses and provides service and repairs to hotel equipment and responds to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.

What you will do

• Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs.
• Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building.
• Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public area in a timely manner.
• Be familiar with all emergency procedures and respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
• Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel.
• Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary.
• Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel.
• Install electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and provide electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set‑ups.
• Where required assist with training to all department staff to ensure efficient operation, proper maintenance and repair to equipment.

What you bring:

• +1 year experience in a similar position.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, an outgoing personality and a can‑do approach to any request.
• Working technical knowledge of general building maintenance and basic ability to operate computer equipment.
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the Italian language. Proficiency in English is a plus.

Schedule & Hours:

Full-time, fixed-term contract. This position requires working in shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Italy at the time of application.

The position is at the C2 level of the Tourism Collective Labor Agreement (CCNL), with a starting gross annual salary aligned with the contract’s minimum standards and opportunities for growth based on experience.
