Job summary

Nordex Group is seeking a field technician to service wind turbines in Italy. You will handle electrical and mechanical tasks, perform troubleshooting, and collaborate with the service team to sustain turbine performance and reliability.

The role requires occasional nights away, on-site training readiness, and the ability to work at heights. Proficiency with MS Office and internal systems is needed to report issues and coordinate with the Local Operation Manager.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical education required or preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems valued.
• Teamwork and willingness to take on responsibility.
• Readiness for training.
• Able to work at high altitudes and climb turbines daily.
• Good English skills (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Keep all health & safety instructions and guidelines.
• Work safely for material and personnel.
• Analyse defects with phone contact to Service Coordinator.
• Autonomously perform simple repairs of turbines and troubleshooting.
• Carry out planned maintenance and inspections with subcontractors.
• Fill in reports and checklists to inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check inventory of spare parts and manage material on site.
• Monitor service reports and steer service processes to book expenses correctly.

YOUR TASKS

• Keep all health & safety related instructions and guidelines

• Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly

YOUR PROFILE

• Electrical and/or mechanical education.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems is valued, but it´s not mandatory.
• Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take over responsibility.
• Willing to travel on regular basis, including nights away from home.
• Computer literate, able to use MS Office and in house database and workload management systems.
• Readiness for training.
• Able to work in high altitudes and to climb everyday some of our turbine.
• Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently).
