Job summary

Nordex is seeking a field-based technician to support turbine maintenance in Italy. The role requires electrical and/or mechanical competence, willingness to travel regularly, and strong teamwork. You will analyze defects, perform repairs, and coordinate with service teams to ensure smooth operations.

Candidate should be fluent in English, computer literate, and prepared for training. On-site work with occasional overnight stays at various sites is expected as part of a dynamic renewable energy

Responsibilities

• Keep health & safety instructions and guidelines on site.
• Work safely with materials and personnel.
• Analyze defects via phone contact with Service Coordinator.
• Conduct autonomous turbine repairs and fault finding.
• Carry out planned maintenance/inspection activities with subcontractors.
• Fill in reports and checklists to inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check inventory of spare parts and material on site.
• Monitor booked service reports and manage service expenses.

YOUR TASKS

• Keep all health & safety related instructions and guidelines
• Work safely for material and personnel
• Analyse defects with phone-contact to Service Coordinator.
• Autonomously simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and faultfinding.
• Carry out planned maintenance-/inspection-activities with subcontractors.
• Fill in reports and checklists in order to completely inform Local Operation Manager.
• Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site.
• Standard monitoring of booked service reports and steering of service process to book expenses correctly

YOUR PROFILE

• Electrical and/or mechanical education.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems is valued, but it´s not mandatory.
• Teamwork, collaboration and willingness to take over responsibility.
• Willing to travel on regular basis, including nights away from home.
• Computer literate, able to use MS Office and in house database and workload management systems.
• Readiness for training.
• Able to work in high altitudes and to climb everyday some of our turbine.
• Good English language skills (read, write and speak fluently).
