Speechify is seeking a seasoned Windows desktop engineer to lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, and XAML. You will drive accessibility efforts, ensure cross-version compatibility, and collaborate with product designers, QA, and engineers to shape the long-term roadmap for the Windows platform.

Competenze

• 3+ years in Windows desktop app development using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML.
• Experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM) preferred.
• Strong understanding of Windows app architecture and interop between managed and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production-quality desktop apps with focus on performance and reliability.
• Experience with accessibility APIs and building inclusive software.
• Strong OOP, design patterns, data structures, and multi-threading/async programming.
• Experience leading design, mentoring engineers, and making architecture-level decisions.
• Clear communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• User-centric mindset and focus on polished, accessible experiences.

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps using Windows App SDK and WinUI.
• Define and enforce best practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase.
• Drive accessibility efforts ensuring UI accessibility, keyboard navigation, and screen-reader support.
