Speechify seeks a senior Windows desktop engineer to lead design, architecture and development of native Windows applications using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML, and optional C++. Collaborate with product designers, QA, and UX to shape the Windows platform roadmap and ensure accessibility and performance across releases.

You will own features end-to-end from conception to release, mentor other engineers, and drive quality, reliability, and maintainability of the desktop product.

Competenze

• 3+ years in Windows desktop development with WinUI/C#/XAML.
• Deep understanding of interop between .NET and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production-quality desktop apps.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs.
• Solid fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, memory management, multithreading.
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, code reviews.
• Excellent communication and user-centric mindset.

Mansioni

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows apps using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML (and C++ when needed).
• Define and enforce best practices for architecture, performance, and cross-version compatibility.
• Drive accessibility efforts: UI Automation, keyboard navigation, screen readers, inclusive design.
• Collaborate with product designers, QA, and UX to shape feature planning and long-term roadmap.
• Own features end-to-end from conception to release and maintenance.
• Identify and resolve complex bugs, performance issues, memory leaks, and rendering problems.
