Job summary

Prada Group seeks a Senior Product Developer for Linea Rossa Performance Apparel in Italy. Lead the lifecycle from concept to industrialization, focusing on high-performance fabrics and innovative construction.

You will coordinate with Design, Materials, and Production teams, manage fittings, and ensure documentation accuracy in PLM. Fluent EN/IT required; 10–15 years’ experience in technical apparel is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Approximately 10–15 years of experience in high-performance sportswear/technical apparel product development.
• Strong proficiency in PLM systems and Excel.
• Fluent in both English and Italian.
• Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and manage complex development projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Linea Rossa Apparel Design team to translate creative concepts into detailed technical specifications, ensuring product feasibility, design consistency, and manufacturing sustainability.
• Manage and oversee the entire product development process, from prototype launch through final validation, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Lead the development of high-performance technical garments, focusing on innovative materials and advanced garment construction techniques.
• Liaise with pattern makers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners in Italy and internationally to communicate specifications and manage revisions.
• Lead garment fitting sessions and prototype reviews to optimize performance, fit, and quality.
• Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of technical data, BOMs, material specs, and product documentation within PLM systems.
• Support introduction of new materials and technologies in collaboration with Design and CMG teams.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders through all development stages for structured execution.
• Collaborate with athletes and brand ambassadors to translate feedback into high-performance products.
• Plan and execute product testing with labs and partners, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with brand technical, quality, regulatory, and performance requirements.
