Serco is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our international team in Rome. The role combines hands-on software engineering with solution design, mentoring, and continuous improvement of engineering practices within the ECLIPSE product suite.

The candidate will collaborate with Tech Leads, Product Owners, and stakeholders to shape the technical direction and deliver high-quality software in a full-time, permanent role with remote working options.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring, Hibernate.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and front-end frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle/PostgreSQL).
• Experience mentoring developers and code reviews.

• Lead design, development, deployment, and maintenance of complex software features.
• Design scalable, secure solutions aligned with product goals.
• Mentor and coach other developers.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, QA, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
