Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer (Golang/TypeScript/React) for an independent contractor role based in Italy. You will build and evolve a data-intensive platform spanning backend microservices and modern frontend interfaces.

You will own features end to end, shape architectural choices, and collaborate with Product Managers across a distributed team. The role is fully remote with US Eastern Time hours to coordinate with the broader team.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend experience with Golang and Docker.
• Strong frontend experience with React and TypeScript.
• Proficient SQL skills for data-intensive apps.
• Clear understanding of clean-code and idiomatic TS/Go.
• Fast learner with ability to grasp new domains.
• Strong communication to explain complex topics.
• Experience with CI/CD, especially GitLab CI, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance Golang microservices and frontend apps.
• Build polished, performant React/TypeScript UI components following design system.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features from ideation to production.
• Contribute to technical strategy by evaluating architectural options.
• Improve performance, observability, and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with engineers, Product Managers, and stakeholders.
