Lever, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Golang/TypeScript/React) for an independent contractor role based in Italy. You will build and evolve a data-intensive platform used by global organizations, working across backend microservices and frontend applications.

The position emphasizes ownership, technical strategy, observability, and collaboration with Product managers, with a remote setup and US Eastern Time hours to coordinate with the broader team.

Competenze

• Strong professional experience developing backend services and web applications with Golang, including deploying services in Docker containers.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance Golang microservices and frontend applications, ensuring they remain reliable, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with product needs.
• Build polished, performant, component-based user interfaces in React and TypeScript, following established design system principles and delivering a strong customer experience.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features, from ideation and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement in production.
• Contribute to technical strategy by evaluating architectural options, balancing existing systems with new technologies, and clearly communicating technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and observability of services and applications through effective engineering practices and appropriate monitoring solutions.
• Raise engineering quality standards through clean-code practices, thoughtful code reviews, automation, process improvements, and the adoption of technologies that improve team productivity.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, Product Managers, and stakeholders across the business to understand requirements, communicate complex technical topics, and deliver solutions that create meaningful business impact.
