Job summary

LuxExperience is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the IT team and help shape the cloud platform strategy in a hybrid role based in Italy.

You will maintain the GCP environment, implement governance and security, manage IAM, and enable scalable data/AI services like BigQuery and Vertex AI while collaborating with multiple engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform in a cloud infrastructure, platform, or operations role.
• Proven track record managing cloud environments with multiple projects and teams.
• Deep understanding of IAM, access governance, and cloud security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools (Terraform preferred).
• Solid grasp of cloud networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging practices and operational readiness.
• Exposure to Kubernetes/GKE is a plus.
• Interest or experience with data/AI platforms such as BigQuery and Vertex AI.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Enable cloud adoption and best practices across engineering teams.
• Support Kubernetes on GCP (GKE) as a secondary responsibility.
• Support data/AI services governance for BigQuery and Vertex AI.

LuxE are now seeking a talented Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the SRE team. Some of the essentials for you to know are:

Tasks

• Maintain and improve the overall structure of the GCP environment (projects, folders, access model).
• Define and support governance and compliance standards through policies and automation.
• Manage access and permissions in GCP (IAM), ensuring secure and controlled user access.
• Support identity and authentication integration (SSO) and access processes.
• Implement cloud security best practices (secrets management, encryption, auditing).
• Support cloud networking configuration and connectivity (VPCs, firewall rules, routing).
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code automation (Terraform preferred).
• Establish monitoring, logging, and operational processes to prepare GCP for production usage.
• Enable cloud adoption and best practices across engineering teams.
• Support the Kubernetes platform on GCP (GKE) as a secondary responsibility.
• Support the adoption and governance of key GCP data and AI services such as BigQuery and Vertex AI, ensuring secure access models and scalable usage

Requirements

• Strong experience working with Google Cloud Platform in a cloud infrastructure, platform, or operations role.
• Proven experience managing cloud environments with multiple projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of IAM, access governance, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools (Terraform preferred).
• Good understanding of cloud networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging practices and operational readiness.
