Job summary

STMicroelectronics Italia seeks a highly motivated Senior Product Engineer to join our team, focusing on Silicon Carbide (SiC) power products within the Power Transistor subgroup. The successful candidate will oversee the entire product lifecycle from conception to obsolescence, requiring deep knowledge of semiconductor physics and electrical characterization.

You will define testing programs, analyze data to meet datasheet conditions, improve yields, manage test improvements, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor physics with focus on Silicon Carbide.
• Experience with power transistor characterization and SiC technology.
• Proficiency in electrical characterization and test methods.
• Ability to analyze data to meet datasheet conditions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify new SiC power products with cross-functional teams.
• Define, implement and oversee testing programs for SiC products.
• Analyze testing data to establish datasheet specifications and bounds.
• Conduct electrical characterization of SiC power devices.
• Track and improve product yields and support change activities.
• Provide technical support to production plants and customers, including potential business trips.
