JBAndrews is partnering with a major international logistics group to recruit a Senior Sales Expert to grow its contract logistics business across Italy. This is a genuine hunter role focused on new business.

You will identify, develop and convert contract logistics opportunities, selling warehousing, production supply, sequencing, assembly, packaging and value-added services across Italian industrial sectors.

• Six years of sales experience in contract logistics or complex supply-chain solutions.
• Proven success winning new customers and generating revenue.
• Comfortable travelling across Italy and working autonomously.

JBAndrews is partnered with a major, privately owned international logistics group seeking a Senior Sales Expert to grow its contract logistics business across Italy.

The company has a long-established position within complex production logistics and is now investing heavily in its expansion beyond automotive into industrial, aerospace and other manufacturing sectors.

This is a new-business role for a genuine hunter. The successful candidate will identify, develop and convert contract logistics opportunities across Italy, selling solutions that include warehousing, production supply, sequencing, assembly, packaging, spare parts and other value-added services.

Main responsibilities

• Build and manage a new-business pipeline across the Italian industrial market
• Target customers within heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, rail, mechanical engineering, aerospace, metals and electrical/electronics
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through solution development, proposal, negotiation and contract award
• Work with solution design, operations, IT and finance to develop competitive and operationally deliverable solutions
• Remain involved through implementation and the continued development of customer relationships
• Report on sales activity, pipeline, customer feedback and market trends

Candidate profile

• At least six years’ sales experience, ideally within contract logistics or complex supply-chain solutions
• Proven success winning new customers and generating measurable revenue
• Strong network across industrial manufacturing customers in Italy
• Commercial understanding of contract logistics costing, tenders and contract negotiation
• Fluent Italian and strong English. German would be beneficial but is not essential
• Comfortable travelling and operating autonomously across Italy
• Automotive experience is relevant, provided the candidate is motivated to diversify into other industrial sectors
