Eutelsat is seeking a senior RF systems engineer to own the RF budgets, interfaces, and measurements for advanced satellite terminals. You will lead phase noise, EIRP, G/T, and beamforming considerations, working with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity from RF front end to digital baseband.

Responsibilities include defining OTA plans, reviewing hardware against budgets, and delivering robust interfaces and documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in RF systems or RF hardware engineering with budgeting responsibility.
• Strong command of RF budgeting: noise figure, gain cascade, EIRP, G/T.
• Knowledge of phase noise, jitter, oscillators, clocking and synthesisers.
• Understanding antenna fundamentals and phased array behaviour.
• Experience bridging RF hardware and digital baseband.
• Ability to review designs with analysis and measurement evidence.
• Fluent English and export control compliance.

Responsabilités

• Own the modem-to-antenna interface, including signal interfaces, latency, and timing.
• Own RF budgets end-to-end and their traceability to service performance.
• Translate phase noise budgets into carrier tracking and demodulation margins.
• Allocate impairment budgets between RF and baseband; arbitrate silicon vs hardware fixes.
• Evaluate electronically steered antenna designs and beamforming implications.
• Review modem module RF chain, including transceiver, RFIC, filtering and isolation.
• Assess thermal, power, and mechanical constraints on RF performance budgets.
• Define RF/OTA measurement plans and supervise campaigns with external facilities.
• Lead acceptance criteria for RF deliverables and technical reviews with partners.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and supplier assessments for RF components.
• Build in-house RF budget models, interfaces, and measurement practices.
