Job summary

European Energy A/S is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager in Milan to own the financial and commercial view of the Italian development pipeline. You will ensure robust business cases, evaluate hybrid opportunities, and drive strategy across solar, wind, and storage projects with cross-functional teams.

You will coordinate with development, engineering, energy markets and finance, lead or support term renegotiations with developers, and contribute to investment committee materials.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in renewable energy with a strong financial focus
• Hands-on experience building and auditing project finance models in Excel
• Solid understanding of the Italian renewables market: permitting, grid, incentives
• Proven commercial and negotiation skills with developers, landowners or counterparties
• Ability to challenge assumptions and explain complex economics clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues
• Fluent Italian and English, written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Perform periodic financial reviews of the Italian pipeline across solar PV, wind, BESS and hybrids.
• Lead cash flow preparation and budgeting with Project Managers; harmonize assumptions and strategy.
• Maintain screening models to identify, optimize and assess projects and opportunities.
• Run IRR, NPV, LCOE, payback sensitivity analyses to identify key value drivers and risks.
• Support commercial negotiations and drive pipeline prioritization and go/no-go decisions.
• Design and improve pipeline tools, dashboards, and reporting for management.
