D-Orbit in Lomazzo (CO) is seeking a Senior Flight Software Engineer to join our Flight Software team. You will contribute to the development of mission-critical real-time embedded software running on our latest generation On-Board Computers.

You will own the embedded software lifecycle, from requirements to integration, collaborate with system teams and suppliers, and help ensure robust, compliant software.

Competenze

• Minimum of 7 years in embedded software development with real-time architectures.
• Experience delivering embedded software in C-family languages and with typical interfaces (USART, SPI, I2C, CAN, SpW, MIL-STD-1553).
• Degree in a relevant engineering field and full professional proficiency in English.

Mansioni

• Contribute to the entire embedded software lifecycle focused on OBC software.
• Prepare flight software deliverable documentation for project milestones.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and software suppliers; drive process improvements.
• Define software system specifications during co-engineering activities with the system team.
• Support AIV and HIL/SIL test activities and participate in stakeholder reviews.
