Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Senior Automation QA Engineer in Italy to design and maintain end-to-end and API tests using TypeScript and Playwright, migrating legacy Java-based tests, and driving scalable testing infrastructure. You will lead test architecture, implement load testing with k6, participate in CI/CD, review code, and mentor colleagues in a fully remote, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in software quality assurance or test automation.
• Strong TypeScript proficiency with Playwright experience.
• Experience building E2E and API automation frameworks from scratch.
• Knowledge of load/performance testing and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger and modern testing practices.
• Nice-to-have: Java, Maven, Selenide, Kubernetes basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated E2E and API tests using TypeScript and Playwright.
• Lead migration of legacy Java-based tests to modern Playwright/TS framework.
• Improve test architecture, fixtures, data management, and parallel execution.
• Develop load testing scenarios with k6 and analyze performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with devs, review code, and promote quality standards across teams.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and mentor team members.
