Eutelsat is seeking a senior software engineer to build the Linux platform software for the next generation satellite terminals, including the layer that wraps the modem and antenna subsystems and exposes stable APIs. You will ensure observability, field reliability, and tight interaction with higher layers of the User Terminal software stack.

Competenze

• 10+ years of software development experience, including embedded or systems software on Linux.
• Strong hands-on experience with C++, including embedded systems and mission-critical apps.
• Experience designing and maintaining APIs with long-term stability.
• Fluent professional English.

Mansioni

• Translate product, service and operational requirements into robust technical implementations.
• Design, develop and maintain the terminal platform software on embedded Linux: system services, device abstraction, IPC, lifecycle and state management.
• Design and maintain the terminal APIs: local and remote control interfaces, configuration, telemetry and event streams, versioning and backward compatibility.
• Implement the control and monitoring paths towards the modem and the antenna manager: command sequencing and state synchronization.
• Build the observability of the terminal: logging, metrics, event reporting and diagnostic data capture.
• Own secure and reliable software update in the field: image management, rollback and fail-safe behavior.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests; build automation to keep the platform verifiable.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions, including with external partners.
• Assist in system validation, debugging and troubleshooting across software, firmware and hardware boundaries.
