RINA is recruiting an Offshore Geotechnical Engineer (Categorie Protette) to join its Environmental and Engineering Geoscience Division in Genoa, Rome and Milan. The role focuses on geotechnical design and site characterization for offshore foundations, subsea pipelines and marine structures across concept to detailed design, in multidisciplinary teams.

The candidate must be registered as a protected category under Italian Law 68/99 and have at least 3 years of geotechnical offshore experience.

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (or Civil Engineering) is required.
• Mandatory: registered as a protected category under Italian Law 68/99.
• Minimum 3 years of geotechnical experience with offshore/marine projects.
• Experience with offshore design and interpretation of site data.
• Knowledge of marine soil behaviour under cyclic and long-term loading.
• Familiarity with offshore standards (DNV, ISO, API).

Mansioni

• Act as geotechnical specialist for offshore projects across all phases.
• Interpret site investigation data and define design parameters.
• Design offshore foundations (piles, suction caissons, etc.).
• Identify offshore geohazards such as seabed instability, liquefaction, scour.
• Review geotechnical deliverables and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with other disciplines in multidisciplinary teams.
• Occasional travel as required.
