RINA is recruiting an Offshore Geotechnical Engineer to join its Environmental and Engineering Geoscience Division in Italy. The role focuses on geotechnical design and site characterization for offshore foundations and subsea structures across concept to detailed design.

The candidate should have a Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering and at least 3 years of offshore geotechnical experience, with familiarity with offshore standards such as DNV, ISO, and API. Travel may be required.

Competenze

• Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• At least 3 years of geotechnical experience with offshore/marine projects.
• Experience with offshore geotechnical design and interpretation of site data.
• Good understanding of marine soil behaviour under cyclic and long-term loading.
• Familiarity with offshore standards (DNV, ISO, API).

Mansioni

• Act as geotechnical specialist for offshore and marine projects across all phases.
• Interpret offshore site investigation data and define geotechnical design parameters.
• Design and assess offshore foundation systems (e.g. piles, suction caissons, anchors, mudmats, gravity-based structures).
• Identify offshore geohazards such as seabed instability, liquefaction, scour and slope failure.
• Collaborate with structural, marine, geophysical and environmental disciplines in multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations and design documentation in line with international offshore standards.
• Occasional travel linked to project requirements.
