Schindler Group in Milan is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our R&D Mechanical Engineering team. You will design, develop and validate mechanical solutions for elevator systems and components, acting as a subject matter expert from concept through release.

You will collaborate with international stakeholders, mentor junior engineers, and ensure design-to-cost, manufacturability, and quality targets are met. The role is hybrid, based in Milan with one day per week from home.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Several years of mechanical design and product development in industrial settings.
• Proficiency in PTC Creo for 3D modeling and detailed design.
• Strong Windchill experience and release processes.
• Experience in technical leadership and mentoring of engineers.

Mansioni

• Lead design and development of mechanical components and assemblies for elevator systems.
• Create and review 3D models, drawings, and engineering documents using PTC Creo and Windchill.
• Drive technical decisions and provide engineering guidance across projects.
• Perform calculations, tolerance analysis and validations for robust solutions.
• Support verification, prototyping and testing activities, implement corrective actions.
• Ensure design-for-cost, manufacturability and serviceability throughout lifecycle.
• Coordinate with R&D, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality and Supply Chain.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence.
