Strativ Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to join its established R&D team in Rome. You will develop innovative mechanical components and assemblies, build detailed CAD models and drawings, and support products from concept to production.

Key responsibilities include manufacturability assessment, design for manufacture, and coordinating work with production and other engineering teams. Mentoring junior engineers and occasional international travel are expected.

Competenze

• Engineering degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience, or a technical qualification with 4–5 years of experience.
• Experience designing complex mechanical products, ideally in aerospace, automotive, transportation or other regulated manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency with a leading 3D CAD package.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, detailed technical drawings and design for manufacture.
• Good problem-solving, communication and project coordination skills.
• Ability to support and mentor less-experienced engineers.

• Develop detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings.
• Contribute to new product concepts and technical development projects.
• Assess manufacturability and continuously improve design solutions.
• Support industrialisation and work closely with production teams.
• Coordinate projects across engineering, manufacturing and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.

Required Qualifications

• Engineering degree with at least 2–3 years of relevant experience, or a technical qualification with at least 4–5 years of experience.
• Experience designing complex mechanical products, ideally within aerospace, automotive, transportation or another regulated manufacturing environment.
• Advanced proficiency with a leading 3D CAD package.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, detailed technical drawings and design for manufacture.
• Good problem-solving, communication and project coordination skills.
• Ability to support and mentor less-experienced engineers.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with finite element analysis and PDM systems.
• Good technical English.
• Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
