Do IT Now is seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team in Emilia Romagna on a hybrid basis. The role covers installation, configuration, and maintenance of HPC systems on GNU/Linux, including hardware/software components of HPC architectures and low-latency networks.

You will collaborate with experts to deploy and optimize applications, troubleshoot issues, and train users. Strong English and Italian language skills are required, with remote-friendly opportunities and a path

Competenze

• Over 3 years of experience in Linux/HPC roles.
• Excellent knowledge of Italian and English.
• Experience in managing service desk tools and Linux systems (RedHat EL, SLES).
• Networking: Switching, VLAN; certification preferred.
• Monitoring: Zabbix, Grafana; storage management in Linux/Windows environments.
• Scripting: Shell and Python.

Job Definition

We are looking for a Senior Linux System Administrator to be included in our team. The person will be responsible for projects for the installation, configuration and maintenance of HPC systems on GNU/Linux distributions.

He/she must also be able to define and configure all the hardware and software components of an HPC architecture (servers, low-latency networks, storage, queue managers, etc.).

The person will collaborate with our experts to identify advanced solutions, install and configure commercial and open source applications, study and improve application performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide user training.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREME NTS

• Over 3 years of experience in similar roles. Excellent knowledge of Italian and English
• Experience in managing service desk tools.+Excellent knowledge of Linux systems (RedHat EL, SLES, etc.) Preferred requirement: Linux certification Networking: Switching, VLAN, Firell.
• Monitoring systems: Zabbix, GrafanaStorage system management in a heterogeneous Linux/Windows environment.
• Administration and maintenance of remote viewing on systemsLinux (VNC / Virtual GL)Programming Languages: Shell Script and Python.

Technical skills and experience

• Storage Management and Maintenance: DDN, NetApp, Isilon, QumuloBasic knowledge of the main relational databases (MySQL, OST, Postgres) Deployment Tools: Xcat, Bright Cluster Manager.
• Knowledge of DELL, HP or Lenovo Server platforms and engineering of Linux-based solutions on these platforms.
