Deutsche Telekom in Milan is seeking a Senior Lead AI Experience & UX Design to define the strategic AI-driven customer experience across Telekom's digital ecosystem. You will shape the long-term UX vision and lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, human-centered products.

What You'll Do

As Senior Lead AI Experience & UX Design, you will define the strategic vision for AI-driven customer experiences while leading design excellence across multiple products and initiatives.

You will:

• Define the long‑term UX vision and AI experience strategy for customer‑facing products.
• Lead the design of next‑generation AI‑powered experiences across conversational AI, generative AI, automation and intelligent assistance.
• Shape human‑AI interaction frameworks that ensure transparency, trust, explainability and responsible AI adoption.
• Drive UX strategy from discovery through delivery, ensuring customer value and business outcomes.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of UX designers, researchers, product managers, engineers and AI specialists.
• Establish design principles, governance and best practices for AI‑powered products.
• Champion experimentation through rapid prototyping, AI model exploration and iterative validation.
• Translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, accessible and delightful user experiences.
• Influence executive stakeholders through design strategy, vision presentations and data‑driven decision making.
• Foster a high‑performing design culture by coaching, mentoring and developing designers and design leaders.
• Drive Design System evolution to support emerging AI interaction patterns and multimodal experiences.
• Stay at the forefront of AI, UX and emerging technologies, bringing external innovation into Telekom.

Design Leadership

• Proven ability to define UX vision and design strategy for complex digital ecosystems.
• Experience building and leading high‑performing design teams.

AI & Emerging Technologies

• Deep understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, conversational interfaces and intelligent automation.
• Hands‑on experience working with AI models, APIs and rapid AI prototyping.
• Strong understanding of AI limitations, evaluation methods, trust, safety and explainability.

UX & Product Design

• Expert knowledge of human‑centered design methodologies.
• Advanced interaction design and information architecture skills.
• Expertise in complex workflows, service design and customer journeys.
• Strong visual design and interface design capabilities.
• Experience designing multimodal AI interactions across web, mobile and conversational interfaces.

Design Systems & Innovation

• Experience defining scalable design systems for AI‑enabled products.

Your Profile

• Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 10–15+ years of professional experience in UX, Product Design or Digital Experience Design.
• At least 6–8 years of experience leading multidisciplinary design teams in complex organizations.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing AI‑powered digital products, including Generative AI, conversational AI or intelligent automation.
• Proven track record of defining UX strategy for enterprise‑scale digital products used by millions of customers.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end product strategy, AI experience design, leadership impact and measurable business outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Executive Leadership. - Experience in telecommunications, technology, SaaS or large digital platforms is highly desirable. xysqume - Fluent in English; German or additional languages are considered an advantage.
