Fortidia seeks a Senior Java Developer at its Milan headquarters. You will lead Java-based software development, guide a small team of external developers, and translate requirements into robust implementations within a modern tech stack.

The role evolves toward broader software architecture responsibilities within 12–18 months, enabling progression while ensuring quality and security across solutions. Strong English and teamwork are essential.

Competenze

• Master's degree in information technology or similar fields.
• Min 7 years' experience in a similar position with a clear track record in programming.
• Excellent Knowledge of Java 8 and 21, Spring Boot, Quarkus, RESTful API + Json and Soap API, RedHat Openshift or Kubernates, Message Broker (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Knowledge of one or more of the following DBs and cloud services appreciated: MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, AWS (nice to have).
• Knowledge of micro-services based infrastructure.
• Excellent mastery of written and spoken English.

• Leads and coordinates the development and implementation of Java-based software solutions according to the defined functional requirements and application architecture.
• Provides technical guidance and support to a small team of external developers, coordinating their activities and ensuring the quality and consistency of their deliverables.
• Translates functional requirements and architectural guidelines into robust, scalable, maintainable, secure and high-quality software implementations.
• Reviews code and technical solutions, ensuring adherence to development standards, best practices, security requirements and established technology guidelines.
• Identifies and evaluates technical solutions, improvements, and implementation alternatives to address functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborates with the Software Architect Manager and other technical stakeholders to ensure that implementations are aligned with the defined application architecture and technology stack.
• Supports troubleshooting, performance optimization, and resolution of complex technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contributes to the continuous improvement of development practices, tools, frameworks, and technical standards.
