Fortidia in Milan is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and implement Java-based solutions, lead a small team of external developers, and ensure quality and performance. The role reports to the Software Architect Manager.

You will evolve toward broader software architecture responsibilities within 12–18 months, shaping architecture and technical strategy while delivering robust, scalable software. Requirements include a Master’s degree in IT, 7+ years in a similar role, strong Java/Spring

Competenze

• Master’s degree in information technology or similar field.
• Min 7 years’ experience in a similar position with a clear track record in programming.
• Excellent Knowledge of Java 8 and 21, Spring Boot, Quarkus, RESTful API + Json and Soap API, RedHat Openshift or Kubernetes, Message Broker (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Knowledge of micro-services based infrastructure.
• Excellent mastery of written and spoken English.

• Leads and coordinates the development and implementation of Java-based software solutions according to the defined functional requirements and application architecture.
• Provides technical guidance and support to a small team of external developers, coordinating their activities and ensuring the quality and consistency of their deliverables.
• Translates functional requirements and architectural guidelines into robust, scalable, maintainable code.
• Reviews code and technical solutions, ensuring adherence to development standards, security, and guidelines.
• Identifies and evaluates technical solutions, improvements, and implementation alternatives.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure alignment with architecture and tech stack.
• Supports troubleshooting, performance optimization, and resolution of complex issues.
• Contributes to continuous improvement of development practices and tools.
