TOPIC is seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to lead the design of complex hardware systems, spanning from concept to validation. You will own design activities, mentor teams, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-speed, low-power solutions that blend FPGAs with ARM cores and advanced memories.

The role offers a permanent contract, relocation budgeting to the Netherlands, a hybrid work model, and a comprehensive package including a 13th month and holiday allowance.

Competenze

• You have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and at least 5 years of professional experience
• You have a successful track record in high-tech hardware development projects (high-speed, low-power designs, combining FPGAs with ARM microprocessors, DDR4 memories, fast ADCs and radio modules such as WiFi and Bluetooth) and are familiar with tools such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Altium Designer, HyperLinx
• You are proficient in the full development cycle; from the translation of system requirements into hardware design architecture and the schematic design, PCB design & routing to testing and integration
• You are used to working in a structured (ISO‑13485) development process, and can prioritize multiple projects and clients
• You are communicative, have a can‑do mentality and are a high‑level conceptual thinker. This makes you a trusted sparring partner and able to take a lead role in designing complex hardware development projects
• You have excellentoral and written command of the English language is required for this role, command of the Dutch language is an advantage.

• Provide senior‑level expertise and guidance, supporting multiple teams within your domain and helping to elevate the overall technical craftsmanship of the organization.
• Identify risks and opportunities both within and beyond the project scope, ensuring relevant stakeholders are engaged and proactive.
• You are a sparring partner for junior engineers and your teammates.
• You have a proven track record in a multidisciplinary team (SW/FW/HW)
• Keeping up to date with the latest (high speed) technologies and converging them to the team.
