Job summary

ITW in Piemonte, Italy, seeks a seasoned accounting professional to own month-end and year-end closing for assigned entities. You will prepare, review, and post journal entries, reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, and ensure timely, accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• At least 6 years of professional accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Italian accounting standards, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for all finance-related processes for assigned entities.
• Own and coordinate month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, including payroll, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, including GR/IR and inventory-related balances.
• Review and analyze AR and AP aging, perform reconciliations, and follow up on reconciling items.
• Cost accounting and inventory valuation for manufacturing operations; perform variance analysis.
• Prepare accurate financial reports in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards.
• Support tax and VAT compliance, including quarterly and annual filings.
• Coordinate year-end activities such as actuarial and pension provisions and transfer pricing adjustments.
• Identify and drive improvements to closing processes and internal controls.
