Generali is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Milano to own end-to-end product verticals across backend, frontend and infrastructure. You will design, implement and operate scalable services using Python (FastAPI), React/TypeScript with Tailwind, and AWS, while integrating AI components.

Competenze

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrable expertise.
• 6+ years of full stack engineering experience with depth across backend and frontend.
• Strong Python backend skills: REST API design, async patterns, ORM, testing, and production operations.
• Solid React and TypeScript proficiency with Tailwind CSS and independent frontend ownership.
• AWS fluency: Lambda, ECS, RDS/Aurora, S3, SQS, CloudFront; comfortable with IaC.
• Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) is a strong plus.
• Italian C2 plus English at least B2 proficiency.
• Extreme ownership and proactivity; engineering rigor in code quality, testing, observability and docs.

Generali AI Software Engineering & Agentic Development is building next-generation SaaS products that leverage agentic coding and AI-assisted development. The team operates with a startup-level engineering culture embedded within a global enterprise, shipping high-quality products at speed.

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Full Stack Engineer — someone who can architect and own entire product verticals across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.

From the ideal candidate is expected a very high skill floor across the entire stack, strong system design capability, and the kind of proactivity that drives a product forward without waiting for direction.

He/She will own full product verticals from data model to API to UI, shipping production-grade features end-to-end, while architecting distributed systems that are scalable, resilient, and maintainable — with hands‑on accountability for the outcome.

This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who wants to have a disproportionate impact on a product that matters, inside one of Europe’s largest insurance groups.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement backend services in Python (FastAPI), including data models, business logic, and integrations with AWS infrastructure
• Build and maintain React frontends with Tailwind CSS, ensuring quality, performance, and usability
• Lead system design decisions: define service boundaries, API contracts, data flows, and infrastructure topology
• Integrate AI and agentic components into the platform, leveraging tools like Claude Code to accelerate development velocity
• Proactively surface technical risks, propose mitigation strategies, and drive resolution — operating with a founder-level sense of ownership

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrable expertise
• 6+ years of full stack engineering experience with genuine depth across backend and frontend — not just surface familiarity
• Strong Python backend skills: REST API design, async patterns, ORM, testing, and production operations
• Solid React and TypeScript proficiency with Tailwind CSS; ability to own the frontend stack independently
• AWS fluency: Lambda, ECS, RDS/Aurora, S3, SQS, CloudFront — comfortable with IaC (Terraform or CDK)
• Experience with agentic coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) is a strong plus — familiarity with AI-native development workflows highly valued
• Italian C2 plus English at least B2 proficiency
• Extreme ownership and proactivity: identifies problems before they escalade and drives solutions to completion
• Engineering rigor: strong opinions on code quality, testing, observability, and documentation

What we offer

We offer employment in accordance with the CCNL ANIA for non-executive employees and the Generali Group Company Agreement.

Gross annual salary ranging between 43K€ and 50K€. The final offer will be aligned with the candidate’s professional experience, technical and soft skills relevant to the role, and may include an individual variable component.
