Job summary

Salesforce is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to own end-to-end delivery of agentic AI solutions inside enterprise environments. You’ll mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and partner with deployment strategists to translate complex challenges into shipped solutions.

Expertise in Python/JavaScript/TypeScript/Java/Apex, experience with LangChain or LlamaIndex, and strong data modeling across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, and Databricks are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering and technical delivery experience with end-to-end ownership of scalable production systems in enterprise AI, cloud, or SaaS environments.
• Expert in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex; conversant in the others.
• Integrated LLMs into production, used frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex, and applied prompt engineering and responsible AI practices.
• Deep experience in data modeling, processing, and analytics across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Deep Salesforce platform expertise: Agentforce, Apex, LWC, Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
• Entrepreneurial, get-things-done mindset with judgment on fast vs right delivery.
• Mentored technical talent and created reusable assets — frameworks, playbooks, internal tooling.
• Clear, credible communication with engineering peers, customer architects, and executive stakeholders.
• Tinkers with evolving AI/data landscape — piloting new tools and models.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed to ensure client success.
• Business level proficiency in Italian and English.
• CS degree or related.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end build and deployment of agentic AI solutions for Salesforce's strategic customers.
• Design and ship agentic systems on the Agentforce platform: agent logic, tool calls, multi-agent orchestration, and deterministic guardrails.
• Own the data lifecycle: model design, processing pipelines, and data readiness across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake and Databricks.
• Resolve blockers in data integration, model deployment, and orchestration with proven problem-solving track record.
• Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting to track deployment health.
• Develop proofs-of-concept and MVPs quickly with judicious decision-making.
• Codify learnings into playbooks and reusable assets for the org.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair sessions, and shared work.
