Revolv Space SRL is seeking a Finance Controller to lead the transformation of financial processes and implement a new ERP and job-costing system for aerospace-grade production.

You will own cost accounting, budgeting, and monthly close, while managing treasury and project margins across long-term contracts in a high-tech environment in Turin, Italy. Fluent Italian and English are required for collaboration with a multinational team.

Competenze

• 7+ years in financial control in manufacturing or engineering-to-order (aerospace/defence/industrial machinery).
• Solid command of Italian statutory accounting/tax and IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with ERP job-cost module and time tracking; strong Excel modelling.

• Set up and own job-order cost accounting for every customer contract: budget, actuals, ETC, margin at completion.
• Evaluate investment opportunities by analyzing ROI and capital allocation.

• Maintain cost structure: hourly rates, overhead, BOM variance as we scale into serial production.
• Run monthly close and produce management reporting package (P&L by commessa, cash flow, burn).

Space assets and services are not fully monetized. At Revolv Space, we are solving the problem of low duty cycles by developing and manufacturing the next generation of critical subsystems enabling continuous spacecraft operations and therefore full monetization of space assets.

We start with tackling the power limitations of small satellites by providing best-in-class products for small satellites: Solar Array Drive Assemblies, solar arrays and deployment mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Lead our finance transformation: set up and customize the new ERP system, internalize accounting processes, and industrialize administrative workflows as we scale into serial production
• Set up, run and own a job-order cost accounting (contabilità per commessa) for every customer contract: budget, actuals, estimate-to-complete, and margin at completion, reviewed monthly with project managers
• Evaluate investment opportunities by analyzing project ROI and capital allocation
• Own revenue recognition and work-in-progress on long-term contracts, including milestone billing and grant-funded work
• Maintain and defend the company's cost structure: hourly rates, overhead, standard vs actual product cost and BOM variance as they move into serial production
• Run the monthly close and produce the management reporting package (P&L by commessa, cash flow, burn, budget vs actuals) for leadership and shareholders
• Manage treasury, cash forecasting, sources and uses of funds (fonti e impieghi), and banking relationships (including debt management)
• Manage cost reporting and financial claims for public funding and government grants.
• Enforce the purchasing and approval process (PO thresholds, supplier commitments, inventory controls) together with procurement and the project managers.
• Coordinate statutory accounting, tax and audit with the tax consultant, the auditor and the labour consultant, and act as their single point of contact.

Requirements

• 7+ years in financial control in a manufacturing or engineering-to-order company (aerospace, defence, automotive or industrial machinery), with direct hands-on experience of job costing and WIP valuation
• Solid command of Italian statutory accounting and tax (bilancio civilistico, OIC, IRES/IRAP, IVA) and working knowledge of IFRS
• Experience with an ERP job-cost module and time tracking, plus strong Excel modelling; you know which numbers belong in which tool
• Track record of building processes from scratch in a small team: you have been the finance function, not a member of it
• Able to explain margins, cash and variances to engineers and leadership in plain language, and to push back when the numbers disagree with the plan
• Fluent Italian and English.
