Lam Research in Italy is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customer sites with on-site repair, installation, and maintenance of Lam’s semiconductor equipment. The role requires frequent travel, including international assignments, and a strong background in electronics and field service.

You will be based in Catania, with mainly on-site work and potential travel across Europe. This is a full-time position requiring hands-on technical expertise and customer-focused problem solving.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, or related field plus 5+ years of experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent.
• Experience in installation, maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.

Mansioni

• Provide quality on-site repair, maintenance service, and complete installation/relocation start-up services of Lam’s complex systems at customer sites.
• Perform analytical problem-solving, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and isolate issues to component level; take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Stay up to date on semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through learning and certification.
• Assist in complex field modifications and updates, maintaining records and coordinating activities between Lam and the customer.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and develop customer action plans to support needs.
• Discuss opportunities and challenges with customers to increase trust.
• Provide technical instruction and mentoring for junior engineers.
