Chematek SpA seeks a Senior Field Operations Engineer to lead worldwide field projects, ensuring safety, operational excellence and customer satisfaction. You will mentor field staff, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and drive continuous improvement of field practices.

The role requires hands-on field leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and extensive travel while maintaining stringent HSE standards.

Senior Field Operations Engineer

Position Summary

The Senior Field Operations Engineer is responsible for leading the execution of complex industrial field projects worldwide, ensuring the highest standards of safety, operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The role combines technical expertise, field leadership and project execution. The successful candidate will progressively become team leader of the field team coordinating field teams, mentoring junior engineers and driving continuous improvement of operational practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary field teams during execution of industrial projects.


• Plan and coordinate field activities with customers and internal departments.


• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and customer procedures.


• Supervise installation, commissioning, operation and troubleshooting of industrial process equipment


• Perform and supervise mechanical assembly, electrical connections, instrumentation verification and system testing.


• Diagnose and resolve technical issues under demanding field conditions.


• Interface directly with customer operations, maintenance and engineering teams.


• Prepare technical documentation and field reports.


• Support equipment maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Train, coach and mentor junior field personnel.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of industrial field experience.


• Proven experience leading teams in complex industrial environments.


• Experience operating at customer sites with demanding HSE standards.

Technical Background

Candidates should demonstrate practical experience in several of the following areas:

• Industrial electrical systems, priority on electrical control panel


• Pumps, valves and piping

Travel Requirements

• Availability for extensive international travel (up to 70%).


• Availability to work during plant shutdowns, including weekends and extended shifts
