Akamai is seeking a Senior Enterprise Security Architect to lead technical pre-sales activities and drive secure adoption of our Enterprise solutions. You will work with customers to shape architectures, run PoCs, and align security strategies with business goals.

Roles require deep knowledge of Zero Trust, cloud security, and modern security tooling, with fluency in Italian and English to engage enterprise clients across regions.

Competenze

• Experience in large, complex customer-facing environments with responsibility for the technical sales cycle.
• Ability to present complex material to diverse audiences virtually and in-person.
• Knowledge of network security, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, endpoint protection, firewalls, and cybersecurity concepts.
• Expertise with Zero Trust concepts and technologies such as Network Security, SASE/SSE, ZTNA and Microsegmentation.
• Understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and cloud-native technologies (Microservices, Kubernetes).
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Our Enterprise Security Group is responsible for developing and selling Enterprise Access, Microsegmentation, and Interaction Security (Akamai Workforce Protector, formerly LayerX) products, while helping customers safely adopt AI and SaaS by closing the visibility and control gaps that traditional network and endpoint security leave behind.

Partner with the best

As a Senior ESA, you'll be the technical evangelist supporting customers with the adoption of our products and services. You'll play a pivotal role in demonstrating the value of our solutions, helping to close the sale. Our goal is to navigate an evolution within customers to a more secure, dynamic and agile infrastructure.

As a Senior Enterprise Security Architect , you will be responsible for:

• Owning, shaping, and running proof-of-concepts, beta programs, and pre-sales activities with customers and partner teams
• Diving into enterprise architecture discovery and hands-on software configuration
• Strategizing with and assisting customers as they move to more agile, secure, identity centric security models
• Taking a consultative approach to solutions and solving challenges around next generation security transformation
• Educating and enabling internal teams and partners regarding our Enterprise solution portfolios to motivate effective sales strategies
• Influencing product roadmaps and ensuring the inclusion of business priorities and requirements of customers

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have experience working in large, complex customer facing environments with responsibility for the technical sales cycle
• Be able to effectively present complex and technical material to varying audiences virtually and in-person
• Have knowledge of network security, SIEM, SOAR, EDR, XDR, endpoint protection, firewalls, and other cybersecurity concepts
• Have expertise with Zero Trust security concepts and technologies such as Network Security, SASE/SSE, ZTNA and Microsegmentation
• Display good understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and cloud native technologies (Microservices, Kubernetes)
• Be fluent in Italian and English
