Jacobs is seeking an experienced electrical engineer in Cologno Monzese, Italy. Responsibilities include designing electrical systems for power, lighting, and life safety. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience.

The position offers a hybrid working policy, enabling flexibility between Jacobs offices and remote work. Candidates will need to be available for business trips and have experience in local and international technical codes.

Competenze

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in specifications, engineering, design, construction and start-up with EPC/EPCM consulting firms.
• Experience as Lead Engineer on medium-sized projects or Area Lead on large projects.
• Availability for business trips.

Overview

ICT systems design. At Jacobs, we solve critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Power and lighting electrical systems, earthing, lightning protection, etc. design
• Life safety and security systems design
• ICT systems design
• Coordinate assigned projects locally and with other Jacobs offices
• Ensure knowledge of local and international technical codes
• Knowledge of main electrical software (Etap, SKM, Neplan, etc.)
• Perform studies and execution of project design activities
• Maintain accountability on electrical project schedule, progress reports, cost estimates and change management process
• Supervise junior and intermediate electrical engineers and designers; interface with design group to monitor and control project schedule, electrical hours and electrical cost for their area of responsibility
• Ensure consistency and integrity of electrical design throughout the project; review design for logic and functionality
• Design plant distribution systems including protection schemes
• Develop detailed electrical specifications for the project
• Define and develop the work share scope of work and execute per project requirements
• Perform pre-commissioning and start-up activities for electrical systems

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in specifications, engineering, design, construction and start-up with EPC/EPCM consulting firms
• Experience in Pharmaceutical, Industrial and Buildings sectors is an asset
• Experience in high, medium and low voltage design and equipment is an asset
• Experience as Lead Engineer on medium-sized projects or Area Lead on large projects with technical leadership; promote workshare with other Jacobs offices
• Knowledge of local and international technical codes
• Knowledge of main electrical software (Etap, SKM, Neplan, etc.)
• Availability for business trips
