Job summary

Jobgether, via a partner company, is seeking a Sr. Desktop .NET Engineer based in Italy for a fully remote, long-term contract.

You will design, build, and maintain desktop applications in C#/.NET, with MVVM patterns and UI layers in WPF/WinUI/MAUI, connected to hardware.

The role involves greenfield IoT work for a German enterprise, cross‑border collaboration, and opportunities to influence architecture and technical direction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building C#/.NET desktop apps.
• Experience with WPF/WinUI/MAUI and MVVM.
• Multithreading, async/await, performance tuning.
• Knowledge of TCP/UDP, WebSocket, REST APIs.
• Hardware integrations with sensors/robotics is a plus.
• German B2 level required to communicate with client.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain desktop apps in C#/.NET.
• Build modern UI with WPF/WinUI/MAUI using MVVM.
• Create custom UI controls and 2D/3D visualizations.
• Integrate desktop software with hardware devices and sensors.
• Implement high-performance, multithreaded, async solutions.
• Work with TCP/UDP, WebSocket, gRPC, REST APIs.
• Collaborate with native C++ modules and SDKs.
• Contribute to architecture, scalability, and delivery.
