Job summary

Sky Italia is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to drive customer analytics, personalization, and next-best-action solutions. You will work with large-scale data across customer, product, and content domains, applying ML and NLP techniques to improve decisioning and experience.

The role requires an advanced quantitative degree, strong Python/SQL skills, and fluency in Italian and English. Hybrid work in Milan with access to Sky Campus facilities and learning programs is offered.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• Experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data-driven decisioning.
• Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries; SQL; Git.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with customer analytics, personalization, recommender systems, next-best-action or next-best-offer models is desirable.
• Experience with topic modeling, generative AI apps and Agentic Frameworks is a strong plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP) and scalable data environments is a plus.
• Fluent in Italian and English.

Responsibilities

• Understand business requirements and translate questions into analytical approaches.
• Deliver end-to-end data science projects from framing to deployment and impact assessment.
• Develop ML and analytics for customer analytics and personalization use cases.
• Apply NLP and generative AI to unstructured data for insights.
• Collaborate with engineers and platform teams to support model deployment.
• Prioritize and deliver multiple data science initiatives in line with business goals.
• Mentor junior data scientists and share knowledge within the team.
• Stay updated on ML, generative AI, NLP, and analytics advances.
